OK, since my timecard ran out, I'll be posting here more. :-P
Aside from what everybody else has already said... 1. SJ, for me, is definately more fun. There's nothing like jumping on buildings. On my PB, fly is kind of like a "are we there yet?" travel power. 2. SJ is definately faster. Fly cannot be assisted by other powers. However, SJ can. For example, this is what I have on noble- SJ+hurdle+sprint... You can make awesome leaps with that. 3. Superman's fly is nothing like your fly. :-P It's like fully slotted fly with speedboost without a speedcap. 4. I can definately type out messages with SJ. Also, there is a way to set sj on an autorun sort of thing.
More later, there's a storm now.

Indeed, that's how I get around usually, with my autojump bind.
R is default bound to be autorun, and I also do
/bind y ++up (which is autojump)
I press R, I press Y. And then I just sit back and watch myself bounce across the map. But in FF I don't use it, because I love bounding from building top to building top.
"Mama, is that Santa Claus on the roof?" "No, it's just that damn Budokai hopping around again!"

Didn't you all forget something? Super Speed[/i]?? Granted it's a hard to control with precision but nonetheless it's still a travel power. I'm partial to it for another reason. I get Hasten with it. And that helps out tremendously if I don't have someone with speed boost around. And yes....SS doesn't allow you to "leap tall buildings in a single bound"...but then again, SJ has it's limitations within a confined area. In a flat out, straight lined race....I think SS would be them all. [glow=red,2,300][/glow]

I'm thinking of finally dropping ss on noble cause it's actually slower then sj+hurdle+sprint... :-P
I loved SS until I met TV...

Exactly. I hate the thought of SS, because of it's lack of any vertical component.
It should be the fastest travel power, as it has that limitation.

UGH....SUPERSPEED SUCKS
I hate superspeed. Getting around zones like Hollows, Terra Volta, Faultline, etc...is hell on earth... SJ is the only travel i get anymore...although I am thinking of trying tp on my next toon
