So sorry I haven't even posted lately (Seams like no one is) but life has gotten really rough. Basement has been flooded, hot water heater went, grandfather(boss) had open heart surgery, down to 4 days a week at work so pay has basically been cut considering I was working 44 hours now only 36(no Overtime now). Shits been rough and still not able to fix my computer. I'm still paying for my account hoping one day I will be back but it's looking real bad. I hope everyone is still doing good and playing but I doubt it since all of the old timers have fallen off. Take care.

Its drying then gotta scrub it with bleach. It's been a tough process for sure. I have an old blower from a furnace drying the walls out the best I can and I still gotta trow a bunch of old stuff out that got water damaged. It's going though. Working in the back yard today trying to clean up branches from the tree that is basically falling apart into my yard.
How is everything with you? I'm still broke as hell and not able to get on the game cause my puter can't handle it at all. Old one still setting next to the desk not doing anything but collecting dust. I will fix it soon enough I hope but who knows.

So whats wrong with the old one again? Been ok here, been really busy with work and not getting alot of play time yet, but some here and there. Wife is trying to loose weight and trying to get me to eat the same things as her, but i love food and hate that tasteless stuff lol. I am almost done with the front bedroom, and i have to have it done before the 4th for guests, so thats been eating up some of my time too. Just have a few things left with it. Hope things get better soon for u. Take care

The old one loads but if I do anything it freezes up and won't do anything at all. Friend told me he thinks windows is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled. Not sure and I don't have the money to take it anywhere right now.

You should be able to just over write the existing files if you just reinstall the program. If you do a clean install then you would loose your files. The other way you can do this is to pull the hard drive from your old one, use the drive form another one and install windows freah, and use your old one as a slave drive. Basicly like a filing cabnet. Then you can take your pictures from the old drive to the new drive, as well as your music. The way you do that is by changing the jumper on the old drive to be a slave, mount it and plug in the power. On boot up the computer will recognize the second drive and reasine drive letters (auto maticly). You will find that you will then have a C: drive, D: drive and a E: drive. The C: drive is the main new drive, D: will be your old drive and E: being the cd drive.
The other route you could take is to get a external drive bay, put your old drive in it and use a USB connection to see it. Same thing with the drive letters except that it may be a different letter. Hook it up to the computer that your using now, swap the files to the one your using just for storage. Re install the old drive back into your old computer and re install windows fresh and swap the files back to the old one the same way.
I use two different externals and swap drives as i need them, only because if i had an external for every hard drive that i have i wouldnt have any room for my computer lol. When im not using the externals, i turn off the power to them. So its nice to have extra storage like that, but i dont like the extra power drain all the time. Bills add up fast. Oh, when you put the drive in the external bay, u still need to change the jumper on the drive to slave. when you put it back in the old computer change it back to master. Thats it, its pretty easy.

In the slave drive scenario would I need to install motherboard drivers and all the sound video drivers again?
In the just use windows to overwrite does that erase my files or just basically patch the old windows?

In the slave mode its just a spare storage space. No drivers needed for that. Just plug it into the computer with a main drive already and it becomes a second drive to pick stuff from.
In the overwrite, it just patches the old windows, as long as you dont do the reformat.

In the slave mode I mean if I add a new hard drive with windows does it pull the drivers from my slaved drive or do I need to put them on the new drive?

you would have to put them on the new drive, it would now be your active drive. You can download the drivers from the net if you dont have them. Just look at your motherboard to see what board you have. Its on the board in letters about 1/4" high.

No, any XP disk with service pack 2 or higher will do. Just need a code for it. XP registers online thats why the codes are so important. The previous windows programs would not register online and were easy to hack the code, or use everyone elses code. But dont worry about the code, I have more codes then i know what to do with lol. These codes have never been used and never will, so your more then welcome to have one. Just make sure you write it down and keep it, that will be YOUR code.
The codes are only for so many licenses, when you get a computer that has windows already loaded, they are using a comon code because it is cheaper for them to buy a bunch of licenses instead of the full set with the disk. Thats why it cost you more if they give you the disk. The disk is not the important part per say, it is just the info, the code unlocks the autherization part.
